Hi, We're
Lauren
&
Darren
We are a husband-and-wife team specializing in thoughtful, editorial wedding photography. We focus on preserving the rhythm and emotion of each celebration, working quietly and intentionally so our couples can remain present while their story unfolds naturally.
Drawn to celebrations shaped by sincere love and intention, we capture moments with care, honesty, and a refined editorial eye. Our approach blends organic storytelling with quiet direction, creating imagery that planners trust and couples treasure for a lifetime.

Inspired by Pride and Prejudice...and creating a timeless vibe
Pride & Prejudice (the 2005 Keira Knightley film, in particular) that lingers long after the credits roll. The softness of the light. The quiet tension between glances. The way love unfolds slowly, honestly, and without spectacle. For couples drawn to this world, it’s rarely about costumes or reenactment—it’s about feeling.
As a lifelong Jane Austen fan, this kind of inspiration is especially close to my heart. And when a couple comes to me wanting to draw from that era for their engagement session, couples shoot, or even their wedding day, my goal is always the same: to translate the essence of that story into something timeless, elevated, and entirely their own.
Moving Beyond the Cliché
A Regency-inspired shoot does not need to feel cheesy, theatrical, or overly literal. In fact, the most compelling sessions inspired by Pride & Prejudice are often the most restrained.
Rather than bonnets and props, we focus on:
- Emotion over performance – subtle connection, quiet intimacy, and unspoken moments.
- Movement over posing – walking hand in hand, brushing past one another, pausing in thought.
- Atmosphere over aesthetics – wind in fabric, natural light, open landscapes, and organic textures.
This is how the romance feels authentic instead of staged.
Styling with Intention
Wardrobe plays a significant role, but elegance comes from simplicity.
Think:
- Flowing silhouettes in linen, cotton, silk, or wool
- Muted, earthy tones—ivory, sage, soft browns, stone, dusty blues
- Minimal patterns and timeless tailoring
- Hair and makeup that feels natural, soft, and touchable
The goal is clothing that moves beautifully and feels grounded in the natural world—pieces that could exist in any era, not just one.
Location as a Character
In Pride & Prejudice, the landscape tells its own story. Open fields, rolling hills, weathered stone, and quiet paths all contribute to the romance.
When planning a session like this, we intentionally choose locations that feel:
- Unpolished and organic
- Rich in texture
- Calm and expansive
Nature becomes the backdrop—not a distraction, but a partner in the story.
Collaboration Is Where the Magic Happens
One of the most important parts of creating a meaningful, inspired photoshoot is collaboration. I don’t believe in forcing a vision onto a couple—instead, we build it together.
I listen closely to what draws you to Pride & Prejudice. Is it the longing? The restraint? The slow burn? From there, we weave those elements into:
- The pacing of the session
- The way I guide (and don’t over-direct) moments
- The balance between candid interaction and gentle structure
My role as a photographer is to bring your vision to life while refining it—helping you avoid trends that won’t age well and leaning into choices that will feel just as beautiful decades from now.
A Timeless Result
The end result isn’t a themed shoot—it’s a collection of images that feel poetic, honest, and enduring. Photographs that look less like a moment you styled and more like a moment you lived.
This particular session was a joy to create, not only because of the couple’s trust, but because it allowed me to blend storytelling, romance, and subtlety—everything I love about both photography and Jane Austen’s world.
If you’ve ever watched Pride & Prejudice and thought, I want my love to feel like that, know that it’s absolutely possible—without imitation, without excess, and without losing yourselves in the process.
With the right intention, thoughtful collaboration, and a shared appreciation for timeless romance, we can create something quietly extraordinary.
